Led by Cantor Rhoda J. Harrison, Ph.D.
Two Wednesdays, December 4 & 18, 10:30 am - noon
While the Jewish people are often referred to as the “People of The Book,” arguably the siddur, the Jewish prayer book, is the Book of the People. This two-session adult education offering will offer us a peek into the history, the theology and some of the musical expressions of several of the siddur’s most familiar prayers, with the goal of understanding where these prayers come from and how they were formalized into our prayer book.
This class is open to the community. All are welcome.
No cost for congregants; $10 per person per session for non-members (collected during class).
