Maureen Fitzgerald of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America will address the topic of Red Flag laws, which permit police or family members to petition a state court to order the temporary removal of firearms from a person who may present a danger to others or themselves. These laws are effective in helping prevent both teen suicides and domestic abuse fatalities, both of which have been on the rise during the pandemic. Maureen will explain how the laws work and how they can be used to save lives.

The program will begin at 7:30 pm, immediately following our monthly meeting at 7:00 pm. All are welcome!
